Radiation oncology firm Sirtex Medical has debuted Siros, a delivery system for its yttrium-90 (Y-90) microspheres.
The system is designed to deliver the company's SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres to patients undergoing radioembolization therapy for liver cancer. It uses visually controlled administration to help physicians quickly and precisely deliver the microspheres, the company noted.

It also utilized needleless D-Vials that suspend the SIR-Spheres into a vortex for more even distribution.
