Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems will provide a Tennessee oncology practice with its Noona software for managing cancer patient symptoms and tracking patient-reported outcomes.

Tennessee Oncology will use Noona in more than 30 centers across the state, with a goal of serving 25,000 patients per year, Varian said.

Noona collects standardized data about patients' quality of life, including new symptoms that may suggest a need for a change in care, according to the firm. It can be accessed on any device with a web browser or through an Apple or Android app; patients report and track their disease or treatment symptoms and share their questions and concerns with their care providers, Varian said.
