Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems said it has formed the Adaptive Intelligence Consortium, a global consortium of clinicians and scientists that will work together to create evidence-based best practices for adaptive radiotherapy.
The consortium will lead clinical trials to develop clinical protocols for Varian's adaptive radiotherapy technology. The company is currently developing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based multimodality adaptive radiotherapy treatment suite that will incorporate MR, PET, and CT imaging.
