Israeli radiation therapy technology developer Alpha Tau Medical said it has received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2016 certification.
The certification for the medical device quality management standard moves Alpha Tau one step closer to commercialization of its Alpha Diffusing Alpha-Emitters Radiation Therapy (DaRT) treatment in Europe, according to the firm. Alpha DaRT uses alpha radiation to provide cancer treatment for solid tumors.
