Mevion Medical Systems has signed a contract with Allcure Kangtai Proton Technology in China for the purchase of a Mevion S250i proton therapy system.
The device features the company's Hyperscan pencil-beam scanning technology to deliver conformal fields of radiation therapy to tumors.
Mevion sold four S250i proton therapy systems in 2018. The sale to Allcure Kangtai is the company's first in the Asia-Pacific region.
