Image-guided radiation therapy developer ViewRay reported revenue growth in preliminary results for its fourth quarter and full fiscal year (end-December 31) following an increase in orders for its MRIdian linear accelerator.
Total revenue in 2018 increased to approximately $81 million, up from $34 million in 2017, with a backlog of roughly $212 million as of December 31. The company's total fourth-quarter revenue was approximately $21 million, compared with $19.9 million in the same period last year. This increase in revenue was primarily a result of eight new orders for MRIdian machines.
