Prostate radiation therapy device developer Augmenix said the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare has added the firm's Spacing Organs at Risk (SpaceOAR) hydrogel spacer to the national reimbursement program for all men undergoing prostate cancer radiotherapy in Japan.
SpaceOAR is designed to help decrease unwanted side effects from prostate cancer radiotherapy treatment, the company said.
