Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems has entered into a $25 million, nine-year agreement with Virginia-based healthcare system Inova to provide image-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery technology.
Inova will acquire multiple Varian TrueBeam radiotherapy/radiosurgery systems over the agreement time frame, with initial replacements at Inova's Alexandria and Loudoun hospitals, Varian said. Inova will also install Varian's Aria information management and Eclipse treatment planning software across its network, as well as Varian's new InSightive software for data analytics, according to the firm.
