Proton therapy developer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has completed acceptance testing at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center in Shreveport, LA, for its first ProteusOne single-room proton therapy system.
The acceptance testing, which occurred less than 14 months after onsite delivery of the accelerator, opens the way to final commissioning and patient treatment with the compact intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT) system in the near future, IBA said.
