Computer-aided detection (CAD) and radiation therapy firm iCAD announced that the company's partner in Taiwan, UltraMed Technology, has purchased a third Xoft Axxent electronic brachytherapy system.
iCAD subsidiary Xoft has worked with UltraMed Technology for three years to increase patient access to intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) in Taiwan and other Asian markets, the company said. The new deal makes the technology available to nine Taiwanese hospitals, according to iCAD.
