Brachytherapy seed manufacturer Theragenics has finalized a three-year agreement to provide worldwide brachytherapy loading services to cancer treatment product company Oncura, a unit of GE Healthcare.
Under the terms of the agreement, Theragenics will load and package iodine-125 brachytherapy seeds manufactured by Oncura in prescription-loaded needles, custom strands, and other configurations. Theragenics has been Oncura's exclusive palladium-103 brachytherapy seed supplier since December 2009, providing TheraSeed for Oncura in prescription-loaded and custom-stranded configurations.
