Oncology services provider D3 Oncology Solutions has completed its 30,000th advanced treatment plan and commissioned its 100th linear accelerator.
D3, an affiliate of UPMC and UPMC CancerCenter, creates treatment plans for intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and stereotactic radiosurgery/stereotactic body surgery for cancer centers around the world, according to the company. Its physicists have also commissioned linear accelerators across the U.S. and Europe.
