Radiation oncology firm Elekta announced it has released a new version of its Monaco treatment planning system.
Monaco version 3.20 offers customers improved volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) planning and delivery support, in addition to support for Elekta's Agility 160-leaf multileaf collimator, according to the company.
The system now has Segment Shape Optimization, which improves dose conformity, plan quality, and delivery efficiency by smoothing and clustering segments, then optimizing beam weights and shapes, the company said. The version also includes a new contouring tool, EZ Sketch.
