Brachytherapy and hyperthermia therapy developer BSD Medical announced that it has sold a BSD-500 hyperthermia system to the John Stoddard Cancer Center at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
The BSD-500 hyperthermia system delivers therapeutic heating using noninvasive hyperthermia, delivered using antennas placed over the tumor; interstitial hyperthermia, delivered using antennas that are inserted into the tumor; or a combination of both methods.
