Despite sharply lower revenues, BSD Medical improved its net loss in its fiscal second quarter.
For the period (end-February 29), BSD had total revenues of $272,000, down from $444,000 in the fiscal second quarter of 2011. BSD noted, however, that six-month revenues of $931,000 were nearly flat in comparison to last year's six-month revenues of $951,000.
The company's quarterly net loss was $2.1 million, compared with a net loss of $3.8 million for the 2011 second quarter.
To improve revenues, BSD said it will refocus on expanding its fee-per-use equipment rental program for its MicroThermX microwave ablation system.
