Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems has received Shonin approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare for its TrueBeam system.
The vendor received clearance to market TrueBeam for image-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery. The system is designed for treating lung, breast, prostate, head and neck, and other types of cancer, according to Varian.
