Oncology firm Elekta said that Odense University Hospital in Odense, Denmark, is the first to use a 3D seed-matching feature in its Intuity image-guided radiation therapy package.
The software automatically pinpoints the position of gold seeds implanted in the prostate to confirm the organ's position before each treatment, according to Elekta.
