Cancer services provider Proton Therapy and healthcare real estate developer and investor CareCapital have formed Proton Therapy Global Management (PTGM), a global network of proton therapy centers.
PTGM will design, develop, and manage proton therapy facilities in partnership with prominent hospitals, according to the Chicago-based firm. Letters of intent have been signed to build five centers in the U.S. and the U.K., including at two leading academic cancer research centers and at a site in central London, PTGM said.
PTGM said it's also in the process of launching Proton Therapy Global, a funding entity that aims to raise several hundred million dollars for investment in individual proton centers.
