The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) has awarded $32,800 worth of grants to 10 radiation therapist training programs in the U.S.
The institutions that received grant money are listed below:
- Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah, GA
- Aultman Hospital, Canton, OH
- Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute, Little Rock, AR
- Erie Community College, Erie, PA
- Manhattan College, New York City
- Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago
- Radiation Therapy at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY
- Radiation Therapy Services, Fort Meyers, FL
- Southern Maine Community College, South Portland, ME
- University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE
The program is designed to provide additional funding to accredited programs to bolster enrollment and defray the cost of educational materials and distance-based learning, according to the Fairfax, VA-based ASTRO.
