Align Pharmaceuticals has introduced a skin-care product for the treatment of radiation dermatitis.
The firm said its Xclair Cream is a water-based product with ingredients that hydrate skin, as well as provide protective barriers to maintain skin integrity during the course of radiation therapy. Align said patients begin use of Xclair Cream on the first day of radiation therapy and should apply it three times a day during the course of their treatment. The product contains no steroids, alcohol, or fragrance, according to the Cary, NC-based company.
