Esaote's I-Genius open MRI moves closer to U.S. market

Esaote is highlighting the latest development of I-Genius, an open MRI system, at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) annual meeting.

The system allows surgeons to perform multiple MRI acquisitions during glioma procedures without repositioning the patient, according to the company. It is designed specifically for the surgical environment, with the goal of enabling real-time decision-making during complex tumor removal, Esaote said.

I-Genius is pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance and is not yet available for sale in the U.S.
