The German Radiological Society (DRG) in association with the Berlin X-Ray Society/Association is now accepting applications for the Gustav Bucky Award, which is designed to encourage and develop younger people in radiology.
Doctors and scientists must apply by 30 September with a cover letter, curriculum vitae, evidence of original work, and certification that the work has not been submitted elsewhere.
A certificate and prize of 500 euros will be presented at a scientific meeting of the society. For more information (in German), visit the DRG website.
Gustav Bucky was born on 3 September 1880 in Leipzig, Germany. He published more than 100 scientific papers and had 94 German and U.S. patents in the field of x-ray technology. His name is widely known for his invention of the Bucky grid.
