AMRA gets U.S., Canadian clearance for MRI-based body composition scan

Swedish image analysis software developer AMRA Medical has secured clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Canadian Medical Device Establishment License (MDEL) for distribution of its service for MRI-based body composition analysis.

The company's AMRA BCP Scan (Body Composition Profile) is a service that collects muscle and fat biomarker data from MRI exams to help clinicians plan health and wellness strategies for their patients. The scan is offered as a health assessment service subscription, according to AMRA Medical.
