Positron builds revenue, shrinks loss in Q2

PET developer Positron continues to show signs of life, turning in revenue gains of 240% in its second quarter. For the period (end-June 30), the Houston-based vendor had revenues of $1.5 million, compared with revenues of $453,000 in the same quarter last year.

Positron had a net loss of $312,000, compared with net income of $46,000 in 1999. The company shipped one Posicam-HZL scanner during the second quarter, compared with none last year.

Positron continues to build and strengthen its capabilities in manufacturing and operations to support future bookings and shipments, according to president Gary Brooks.
