Nucs AI and AstraZeneca pursue new response-prediction models

Nucs AI, a company developing AI-assisted theranostics, is collaborating with AstraZeneca to develop a predictive image-based AI algorithm for use in PSMA-targeted radioconjugate research.

The collaboration focuses on metastatic prostate cancer and aims to shift patient selection for treatment from population-level eligibility criteria toward individual-specific response prediction, according to Nucs AI.

As part of the agreement, the company will adapt and validate a product for emerging radioconjugates. The work centers on tuning response-prediction models to the specific characteristics of next-generation therapies and draws on the company's similar work in Lutetium-based therapy response prediction.

By advancing predictive biomarker development in parallel with AstraZeneca, the collaboration positions AI-driven response prediction to mature in step with the therapies it is designed to support, Nucs AI said.
