Cadens Imaging of Granby, Quebec, is launching its Cadens Colon software for virtual colonoscopy (also known as CT colonography or CTC) at this week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The "pay-per-review" CTC product offers negligible upfront costs because the software architecture can be run on a laptop without requiring a hospital network or office setting, according to the company. Features include automatic colon segmentation and centerline extraction, as well as proprietary lesion-based computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) technology and electronic cleansing.
