Philips Medical Systems has completed the first installation of its Gemini PET/CT system. Gemini, which combines the Andover, MA-based vendor's Mx8000 multislice CT system and an Allegro PET scanner in an open layout, was received by Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Imaging services provider Integral PET Associates purchased the unit and operates the system at Montefiore, Philips said.
