Virtual colonoscopy and contrast developer E-Z-EM of Lake Success, NY, and the Joint Purchasing Corporation (JPC) of New York City have signed a three-year sole-source agreement making E-Z-EM the sole provider of contrast agents for gastrointestinal radiology to JPC’s network of healthcare providers.
Under the terms of the agreement, E-Z-EM will be the exclusive provider to JPC members of barium and barium-related products, including its Varibar and Entero Vu 24% imaging agents. Other available products will include Digibar , gastrointestinal contrast for digital fluoroscopy, E-Z-CATat Dry single-dose packets, and the Readi-Cat-2 Smoothie line of CTat Scan oral contrast for pelvic/abdominal scans, according to the firm.
