RadNet, WIN-NextGen partner to introduce students to imaging careers

RadNet is launching a collaboration with workforce development organization WIN-NextGen to introduce middle school, high school, and young adult learners to careers in medical imaging.

Through the program, students ages 12 to 17 in Maryland, Washington, DC, and parts of Virginia, as well as young adults ages 18 to 24, will have access to WIN-NextGen's digital workforce platform. This includes the following:

  • Age-appropriate learning modules
  • Interactive career experiences
  • Mentorship opportunities with radiologic technologists
  • Imaging center shadowing experiences

The collaboration is expected to expand to include internship and scholarship opportunities, RadNet said. A launch event is planned for October 24 at the company's Advanced Radiology Timonium Crossings Imaging Center in Timonium, MD.
