AI software developer Cleerly has promoted two key executives to expanded leadership roles.
Udo Hoffmann, MD, has been promoted to chief medical, scientific, and AI officer, while Amit Relia has been named chief regulatory officer.
Hoffmann joined Cleerly in 2022 as chief scientific officer. Prior to joining the company, he was a professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Hoffman was the founding director of MGH’s Cardiovascular Imaging Research Center.
Relia joined Cleerly as vice president of regulatory affairs and quality assurance in 2024. Prior to Cleerly, Relia led regulatory initiatives at iRhythm Technologies for AI/machine learning cardiac devices, guided global regulatory strategy for ECG-based software at Apple Health, and helped steer landmark clearances for surgical robotic devices at Intuitive.
