The RSNA Research and Education (R&E) Foundation has approved more than $4.5 million in grants for 2026, funding 79 projects supporting medical imaging research and education.
Grant areas include cancer detection, cardiac imaging, neurologic conditions, and AI applications in radiology, according to RSNA. Among the recipients is Hernan Chaves, MD, of Fleni Belgrano in Buenos Aires, who received an Education Project Award to develop an open-source AI-assisted radiology training simulator, the foundation's first grant in Argentina.
Applications for most 2027 R&E Foundation grants open in October, RSNA noted.
