Colorado Imaging Associates and TRA Medical Imaging have joined forces to form Affiliated Radiology, a radiology services organization aimed at providing medical imaging providers with shared PACS infrastructure, clinical AI tools, and radiologist read capacity at scale.
The goal is to support aggregation of technology investment and purchasing power across multiple organizations to lower costs, according to the companies. Affiliated Radiology will also connect a network of radiologists to share read capacity, subspecialty expertise, and coverage while allowing practices to maintain local ownership and physician leadership, according to the companies.
Colorado Imaging Associates and TRA Medical Imaging together said they represent nearly 200 radiologists serving the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions, and the organizations plan to expand Affiliated Radiology nationally by adding other imaging providers, the companies said.
