Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Caption Health has raised $53 million in funding it plans to use to further develop its AI-guided ultrasound technology.
The company's Caption AI platform has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Caption Health will accelerate its commercial development of the platform, which allows healthcare providers without specialized training to perform ultrasound and produce diagnostic-quality images, according to the firm.
