Philips rolls out Allura Xper upgrade

Philips Healthcare has launched an upgrade program for users of its Allura Xper family of cardiovascular x-ray systems.

The upgrade includes technologies for remote proactive support, allowing Philips to automatically monitor each system and send alerts when issues occur, according to the Andover, MA-based vendor. North American users will have the added benefit of enabling Philips customer service teams to take control of systems and guide customers through enhanced application support over the phone, Philips said.

The upgrade will also bring systems on to the latest technology platform, allowing clinicians to add a suite of new applications, including XperGuide for providing live 3D needle guidance, an XperSwing automated dual-axis rotational angiography option, and FlexVisionXL, which enables viewing with a 56-inch LCD screen.

The upgrade will be free to those with customer service agreements; all other Philips cardiovascular customers will be able to purchase the upgrade.
