Del Medical names Japp as new president

Del Global Technologies has appointed Christopher Japp as president of the Valhalla, NY-based company's Del Medical Systems Group.

Since 2003, Japp has served as vice president of cardiac surgery at St. Jude Medical of St. Paul, MN. From 1990 to 2003, he held management and sales positions at GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., in Canada, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, and was promoted to general manager of the company's CT advanced applications products segment in 2001.

At Del Medical, Japp will oversee global operations of the general-purpose radiographic systems subsidiary.
