CIVCO buys Sinmed

Ultrasound device developer CIVCO Medical Solutions has acquired radiotherapy accessory provider Sinmed of the Netherlands.

Sinmed's product portfolio complements CIVCO's radiation oncology product line, which was acquired via its November 2005 acquisition of Medtec, according to CIVCO of Kalona, IA. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sinmed’s products include Mastercouch carbon fiber couchtop, Posifix head and neck fixation systems, Posicast thermoplastics, and Combifix lower abdomen positioning systems. Its products are sold in more than 60 countries through a dedicated distributor network, CIVCO said.
