Zonare upgrades ultrasound line

Ultrasound technology developer Zonare Medical Systems is upgrading its ultrasound line with two new transducers, calculation packages, and a program to automatically recognize and adjust for differences in body sound propagation.

The Mountain View, CA, company's z.one system is based on its Zone Sonography technology, which retains all raw data obtained in the ultrasound signal, enabling advances such as automatic sound speed compensation.

The new P10-4 transducer is designed for imaging neonatal, infant, and pediatric patients. The new P4-1 small footprint transducer addresses the need for greater access in abdominal and ob/gyn sonography, as it features nine frequencies, eliminating the need to change transducers.
