Ziosoft gets software OK

Advanced visualization software developer Ziosoft of Redwood City, CA, has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its CT brain perfusion application.

The software is designed for use with the Ziostation thin-client system to provide brain perfusion functionality to clinicians as a thin-client application using standard commercial hardware.

It also features a color map of cerebral blood flow and other perfusion-related parameters from CT images of the brain to assist radiologists in stroke assessment.
