CIVCO debuts new CT guidance device

Ultrasound and radiotherapy products provider CIVCO Medical Solutions has launched a new handheld CT guidance device, according to the Kalona, IA-based firm.

The device is designed to improve accuracy for either traditional vertical- or angled-plane procedures, such as aspiration/biopsy, drainage, or ablation. It can be held in either hand, used from either side of the table, and is safe for use in MR environments up to 3 tesla, according to CIVCO.

The device also features a disposable sterile cover with a built-in needle pathway to accommodate a wide range of instruments from 22G to 8F, the company said.
