FiatLux nets FDA clearance

Advanced visualization software developer FiatLux Imaging has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Visualize software.

Visualize employs DirectX game programming protocols to create 2D/3D images from CT and MR scans, according to the Redmond, WA-based firm. The software is now available for purchase for less than $3,000, and can run on off-the-shelf PCs and laptops with standard graphics cards, FiatLux said.
