Ultrasound technology developer SuperSonic Imagine will debut the newest version of its Aixplorer ultrasound system at the upcoming RSNA meeting.

Aixplorer Expert Edition is designed for physicians who use ultrasound on a daily basis for diagnostic purposes across a wide variety of applications, including breast, 3D breast, thyroid, liver, abdomen, musculoskeletal, prostate, ob/gyn, vascular, and pediatrics, according to SuperSonic Imagine.

The latest addition to the Aixplorer Expert Edition is an ob/gyn application that features preset optimization tools for every stage of pregnancy. The package's UltraFast Doppler mode offers color frame rates up to 200 Hz and full spectral Doppler quantification, including peak velocity, the company said.
