Van Moore selected as ACR chair

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has named Dr. Arl Van Moore Jr. of Charlotte, NC, as chair of its board of chancellors.

Van Moore has served as vice chair of the ACR board of chancellors since May 2004, and is a fellow of the ACR. Dr. James Borgstede of Colorado Springs, CO, former chair of the ACR board of chancellors, has been elected president of the ACR.

In related news, Dr. James Thrall of Boston was named vice chair of the ACR board of chancellors; Dr. Charles Williams of Tallahassee, FL, was elected ACR vice president; and Dr. Paul Ellenbogen of Dallas is now the secretary-treasurer for the organization.
