This new advanced modality course will move your MRI skills to the next plane in imaging. AHEC's instructor will guide you through the essential aspects of obtaining an appropriate clinical history prior to patient imaging. Emphasis will be placed on sectional anatomy and imaging sequences used by today's technologists in routine MRI procedures. There will also be information related to special protocols for pathology and disease processes such as Parkinson's and multiple sclerosis. Final course topics will relate to the use of and indications for contrast media in studies and artifacts found on images.
