The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has named H. Stephen Lieber, CAE, as its new executive director. Lieber, who has 17 years of management experience in national healthcare associations, will leave his current position as vice president of personal membership groups at the American Hospital Association in April to assume his new role at HIMSS. Lieber takes over the position following the resignation of John Page last July. R. Norris Orms, CAE, who has served as acting executive director of HIMSS in the interim, will continue in his position as director of operations for the Society, a position he has held since November of 1997.
