SAN DIEGO - The aggressiveness of many brain tumors makes accurate imaging vital for staging and patient management. At the 2002 Academy of Molecular Imaging conference, Dr. Miguel Pozo of the Centro PET Complutense in Madrid found that coregistered FDG PET and MR images accurately distinguished necrosis from tumor recurrence.
