Koning has announced a partnership with UberDoc, a direct-pay healthcare marketplace operated by Apptly Health Technologies, to connect patients with Koning Vera Breast CT imaging sites without requiring a referral or payer contract.
Under the agreement, Koning will display UberDoc physician and service listings within its platform and introduce provider sites to UberDoc for onboarding to the marketplace. Patients on Koning's platform will be able to move directly into UberDoc to find and book appointments, with the companies also planning joint marketing and potential technology integrations for cash-pay appointments, the firms said.
The Koning Vera Breast CT system has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration premarket approval for diagnostic imaging of the breast and is indicated to provide 3D images intended to be read alongside standard two-view mammography, according to the vendor. Koning said its systems are installed in six countries and have been used to image more than 200,000 patients worldwide.
