Before his May 29 resignation, Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens signed a bill into law that requires the state's insurers to provide benefits and coverage for both 2D mammography and 3D digital breast tomosynthesis, according to the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The bill, HB 1252, mandates that as of January 1, 2019, providers of mammography screening "shall be reimbursed at rates accurately reflecting the resource costs specific to each modality, including any increased resource cost of breast tomosynthesis."Mo. passes breast tomosynthesis coverage bill
