Breast imaging software developer Ikonopedia is introducing new breast imaging reporting and analytics tools at RSNA 2017.
In response to the new U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-mandated image quality requirements of the Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program (EQUIP), Ikonopedia software automatically initiates periodic mandated image quality reviews for interpreting physicians and radiologists. It allows the radiologist to review a sample set of autogenerated exams, document deficiencies, and indicate required corrective actions.
Ikonopedia Analytics manages the oversight of quality assurance/quality control records and corrective action, with reports designed to address EQUIP compliance. Additionally, Ikonopedia takes mobile clinics into consideration by allowing them to be grouped together as a single virtual site for quality review purposes.
Also, Ikonopedia's Patient View module includes the new Patient Canvas, a secure overview of patient information. It features a graphical drag-and-drop scar/mole/lesion locator, which can be made available to radiologists as they read images. The markers are scalable and rotatable with a date stamp above each one.
The company also announced it has completed installations of its software at a number of sites, including Medical Arts Radiology and Mount Sinai Health System in New York City, Via Radiology in Seattle, and Assured Imaging in Tucson, AZ. Ikonopedia also signed its first international customer, the Tern Hill/The X-Ray Group in Australia.
