Solis to manage University of Chicago breast center

Breast imaging center operator Solis Mammography has signed a deal with University of Chicago Medicine regarding the operation of the university's breast imaging center.

Solis will jointly manage the medical center's on-campus breast imaging center in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, starting in the third quarter of 2017. Solis will also expand by offering new off-campus breast centers in the greater Chicago area.

The deal is designed to address the backlog of women trying to schedule annual mammography screenings but who have limited access to centers. Many consumers are also demanding off-campus suburban sites that offer quicker turnaround and better aesthetics, according to Solis.

Size was 0.2 cm; tumor grade II/III; negative lymph nodes; and estrogen receptor–positive, progesterone receptor–positive, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2–negative.

A normal mammogram confirmed by three-year radiologic follow-up illustrates reader-marked regions of interest (ROIs) during (A) unaided (round 1) and (B) artificial intelligence (AI)–assisted (round 2) reading.
