Volpara Solutions, the wholly owned sales and marketing arm of Matakina Technology, plans to highlight the role of its suite of volumetric software tools in a number of large clinical trials, national breast cancer screening programs, and hospitals across Europe at the upcoming ECR 2014 in Vienna.
At the conference, seven abstracts will explore the ability of volumetric breast imaging data from Volpara to guide screening of women with dense breasts, the company said.
The abstracts range from a comparison of personalized mean glandular dose estimates between x-ray systems over time in mammography to a comparison of density estimates between the Volpara software and radiologists visual assessment. Papers also include studies on the geographic variation in breast density in the Netherlands and whether computer density assessment can reduce human variability.
